About Me

Hello, I am Gaby a Westcountry native and lover of the outdoors.

I live on the rain-rinsed Northern edge of Dartmoor, Devon which inspires many of my images.

I have been taking photographs in various forms and using all sorts of cameras for over 30 years, having first discovered a love for photography whilst studying it as part of my degree many moons ago. Then followed over 25 years of using my photography skills for my job; taking commercial pictures of holiday cottages as well as landscapes and views across the Westcountry, some of which have been published by various newspapers (The Times, The Telegraph etc) and high-end magazines (Tatler, Good Housekeeping).

Believing that photography is about capturing a moment, a mood or form, texture or colour I have been taking pictures with an iPhone whilst out with my dog, Hendricks (named after the gin not the Jimi). An iPhone is easy to slip into a pocket and go – and it means I never miss a chance to capture some special light, local character or a view that makes my heart skip.

Having grown up by the sea in South Devon I am a little obsessed with the weather and love a good cloud formation… in fact many of my pictures are more about the cloudage and how it connects with the landscape. I hope you like them. If you have any queries or would like to know more please drop me an email or send me a message using the box below.
